Billzonthebeat has opened 2024 with a new album, Foundations.

His last project was 2021's four-track EP L'z Szn, and on this, his debut album, he sheds more light on the growth he's undergone as a producer in that time. The project's 10 tracks feature a host of the UK alt-rap scene's most exciting names, including FelixThe1st, Joe James, and his labelmates at Cruck Records, El Londo and Ashbeck.

Billz's understated production style boosts the performance of each of the featured MCs by giving them the space to get into their bag. On his Instagram, Billz celebrated the release of the album by saying "2 years in the making, sometimes it's the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination. I'd like to thank everyone involved in this project, trusting me with their art and helping tell the story of my 'foundations'".

The alt rap scene is in full bloom right now and Foundations is yet another example of that. Take in the project below.
