Berwyn Looks Forward To The Path Ahead On Contemplative "MIA"

November 10, 2021

Following his soul-stirring double mixtape release Demotape/Vega and Tape 2/Fomalhaut, Romford-based artist Berwyn returns with another introspective joint, "MIA".

Co-produced by Berwyn and Fred, the rattling snares and heavenly synths give way to Berwyn's signature ethereal vocals as he reflects on past challenges and rejoices in the fact that he's still standing strong today, adding an air of uplifting optimism to the overall listening experience.

The accompanying visuals, which were directed by Waxxwork, sees Berwyn surrounded by a support system of friends who vibe to the track, reflecting the passion in Berwyn's delivery.

Sharing his thoughts on the track, Berwyn says: "This song means the absolute universe to me. It's a dedication to all the missing pieces that aren't here anymore. I titled it 'MIA' because it does what it says on the tin, it's a time to think and to honour the people that aren't with us now... and to acknowledge the fact that there is still a lot of violence outside. Performing this song comes like walking through a gate to the other side feels mad spiritual, not sure why."

While we wait to see what's next, catch Berwyn on his UK tour, which kicks off at the end of the month. Head here for details.
