For Benjamin A.D, last year was leading up to the release of a new project and now the South Londoner has made good on those promises with his new EP, ULTRA RARE:.

Standing at six tracks and 16 minutes, Benjamin's thoughtful and insightful rhyme style makes up for the brevity of the project. Lex Amor is the lone feature and she reminds us of her people's champion status with an all too brief verse on the opener, "Fake It Til You Don't Make It". Beyond that, Benjamin handles the job by himself, fusing purposeful lyrics with easy-on-the-ear melodies and understated yet colourful production.

Benjamin A.D had some standout collaborations with A2 and Kojey Radical in 2023, although neither of them features here, unfortunately. Luckily, Benjamin has more than enough substance to hold your attention and is skilled enough with the pen that you won't be thinking of who doesn't appear on ULTRA RARE:.
