South London's Benjamin A.D isn't the most prolific in his output, but he's been able to build a loyal and committed following through a string of high-quality drops.

Last Friday, he returned to the game with the heartfelt "Let Me Explain", which was co-produced by Jerome Williams and WAVSDNTDIE, and features fellow South London genre-blender, A2.

Over the dialled-back beat, Benjamin delivers motivating verses about his own drive, bigs up his bro by cleverly interpolating Jay Z lyrics, and confesses that he's "tired of the fighting in my heart, I'm a lover".

A2 complements A.D's energy to a tee, adding a different perspective of the same self-motivating spirit. The vulnerability of the track should be at odds with the urban landscape that the Ray Fiasco-directed video, which is shot in cold concrete and tower blocks, yet the warm-cold juxtaposition fits perfectly.
