ENNY, Pink Pantheress, Central Cee & Tems Named In BBC Sounds Of 2022 Longlist

The BBC Sound of 2022 list has been confirmed and sets its sights on some of the most exciting artists who have erupted over the past year.

10 acts have been nominated this year, each of them deserving of some recognition for their graft over the past few months. Alt-pop queen Pink Pantheress makes the list along with Central Cee who recently sampled her bedroom pop soother "Just For Me" on his track "Obsessed With You".

Also on the list are rising stars ENNY, Tems and Priya Ragu, all of whom have had highly successful years. Rounding out the list are indie outfits Wet Leg and Yard Act, as well as Mimi Webb, Baby Queen and Lola Young.

A statement from the BBC says: "The 'Sound Of' list started in 2003 with the aim to showcase the most exciting rising stars in music, 19 years later, and the aim is the same—to continue predicting some of the biggest and most exciting global superstars.The acts that appear on Sound Of are all hand-picked by a panel of impartial music industry experts from around the world and we can now reveal the long-list for 2022."

Take a look at the full list of nominees below and keep an eye out for the shortlist when it's announced beginning January 2, with the winner announced January 6.
