Bashy Ends His 10-Year Break From Music With "Sweet Boys Turned Sour"

April 19, 2024

Bashy has announced his return to rap with his new single, "Sweet Boys Turned Sour". The North-West veteran has always been a stellar MC, with a career that goes back over 20 years, and this single explores the times before even that.

Taking a trip down memory lane, Bashy details how he became a product of his environment as a kid, falling into bad habits due to some of the negative effects of the ends. The pictures he paints are crystal clear; it's also clear he hasn't lost a step when it comes to his skill on the mic.

It's been a 10-year hiatus from music for Bashy; his previous release was 2014's "Bring The Lights Down". In that time, he's tackled and conquered the acting world, having starred in shows and movies like Top Boy, Great Expectations, 24: Legacy, and THEM. His upcoming sophomore album, Being Poor Is Expensive, is due for release on July 12, marking a return home to his first creative discipline.
