R&B Experimentalist Azekel Signals Impending EP With Om'Mas Keith-Assisted "Crescent Moons"

April 23, 2020

British R&B artist Azekel is back with his new track "Crescent Moons".

Produced by Azekel and Om'Mas Keith, the former serenades us with blissful vocals over the expertly-crafted production. Demonstrating his remarkable vocal range, Azekel interchanges between hard and soft tones, hitting each and every note like it was nothing. The versatility of his voice makes it an instrument in itself, exposing the listener to a huge range of different sounds in such a short space of time, and these sounds excellently blend together, bringing differing feelings and emotions to the forefront.

"It's a very visceral track," says Azekel. "We just pressed record, and however I was feeling, we kept it." Using his music as an outlet to reflect, he discusses his personal life in unflinching detail. Azekel also announced his plans to release a new EP: Azekel Unreleased, a collection of songs recorded last year that he says has a "darker sound, more freeform" than his 2018 album, Our Farther.

The new project lands on May, but for now, get into "Crescent Moons" below.
