ASB And Tiny Boost Turn Their Talents To Drill On "Where I Been"

September 09, 2020

Earlier this summer, West London rapper ASB dropped his fifth full length studio album Prayer, Profit & Progress, a massive collection that tied together all the hard work he's been doing on both sides of the Atlantic, solidifying allegiances between the two scenes.

On the UK side, one of the biggest impacts was made by Peckham rap veteran Tiny Boost, appearing on two of the album's 12 tracks. One of them, "Where I Been", has just been given some visuals from ASB's frequent collaborator Will Clarke, putting the spotlight on the two rappers as they give us a no-holds barred account of what street life is really like over a drill-leaning instrumental from TimmyThuggz.

"It was an honour to work with Boost," ASB explained. "In my opinion, he is one of the hardest rappers in the UK and I was interested in hearing him on a drill beat. I feel like UK drill has that grime feel and energy to it, and soon as I heard this beat, I came up with the hook in my head."
