Bringing some soulful Prince vibes to the table, A.K. Paul is back with his new single "Be Honest". This is his first release to emerge from the Paul Institute, which he runs alongside his brother brother Jai Paul, and signals more activity from the brothers' ongoing project.

"Be Honest" sets the tone with some emphatic electric guitar strings and some clean instrumentation that gradually warps more and more as the track progresses. A.K voice does the rest, taking complete control of the track and creating a typically enigmatic presence. The echoes and glitched effects that pepper "Be Honest" create a unique that warmth surrounds the listener and evokes something deep inside of them.

A.K explained the meaning behind the song, saying: "It's about giving up control for a moment, allowing yourself to feel something beyond what you've known. It's a song about liking something you didn't think you would like, feeling something you didn't think you would feel — and as you come to your senses being faced with the prospect you've only half lived. I'm really happy we're releasing new music with Paul Institute this summer. It's been a while coming and the last couple of years have been perilous at times for PI, particularly because of a legal fight that set us back. So besides it being sick music, to return with such a strong set of releases feels like a vindication of our rights as artists too."
