On October 23, Midlands-born producer and Werk Discs boss Actress will release Karma & Desire. Although this will be his first album since 2018's LAGEOS with the London Contemporary Orchestra, it was as recent as July that he released the 88 mixtape, which included a PDF detailing the upcoming album.

To whet our appetites, he's just unveiled the album's lead single, "Walking Flames", a heavenly collaboration with soulful auteur Sampha, who also appears on two other tracks, "VVY" and "Many Seas, Many Rivers".

The rest of the album, which Actress (real name Darren Cunningham) describes as "a romantic tragedy set between the heavens and the underworld," also features contributions from rising R&B prodigy Zsela, LA-based DJ and producer Aura T-09, Italian pianist Vanessa Benelli Mosell, and Danish singer Christel Well.
