237's Kish! Opens Up The New Year With Vibrant Three-Track Release 'Kishin's Revenge'

January 15, 2020

Almost a year after the release of his last project, Crybaby, 237 collective leader Kish! is back with his new project Kishin's Revenge. The new three-tracker is one of his most eclectic yet, stitching together productions from Finch Fetti and Manny Dubbs. Although all three tracks could be loosely described as 'dreamy', with their twinkling melodies and low-slung rhythms, it's Kish!'s free-wheeling, almost stream-of-consciousness that really ties it together.

The opening title track is a fun, tongue-in-cheek affair that sees the rapper skate over a jumpy instrumental as he delivers playful bars before switching into the EP's mid-point. "Money Up!" then sees Kish! embrace the grind as he makes his priorities crystal clear with an irresistible chorus (I don't know which way I'mma go / Just get my money up). The project comes to a close with its final track, "Wishlist", where he opens up about a girl that's caught his eye.

Special mention should also go to fellow 237 members Cloutgod Duggie and Big Nate, who more than make themselves heard on the project, each adding their individual style and flavour to the potent cocktail of ideas. Take a listen below.
