Between SoundCloud, YouTube, Mixcloud and everything else, it can feel like we’re being overwhelmed by an impenetrable, almost infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don’t have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week’s new DJ mixes. To help you out, we’ve done the busy work for you. We’ll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest house music, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B, Amapiano, and no doubt a bunch of stuff that doesn’t have a name yet.

Since reuiniting in 2024, it’s been a golden era for Skream and Benga fines. The pair are on their best form in years, touring the world and spending plenty of time in the studio together. Best of all, we’ve been getting dynamite moments like this set at Nuits Sonores in Lyon. It’s part of a series of concerts in the ARTE series, spanning alternative and indie acts like Kim Gordon and Slowdive, dance legends like Seth Troxler B2B Carl Craig, as well as orchestral and jazz performances.

Earlier this month, Conducta hit us with "Low Can U Go”, a new jungle-focused jam featuring BLVK H3RO. It’s the first of a new EP, SOUNDBOY JOHNNY, which is due later this month on Nia Archives' Up Ya Archives. In the build up to that, he was in DJ Mag HQ for a sweatbox session to warm us up ahead of the new EP. Although not entirely D&B/breakbeat, the mix of bouncy house, garage, grime, and club heat to prime us for the coming project.

Paul Woolford was out in Mumbai recetly as part of a two-day event with D Double E, Saint Ludo, Raji Rags, Panjabi Hit Squad, and more. It was packed with highlights, including this intense, bass-heavy set. Opening up with some speed garage and bassline, it’s not long before SR plunges headlong into jungle/D&B territory. It’s stern stuff, but bursting with infectious fun, not least the Conrad Subs/Giggs overlay and the KETTAMA remix of SR’s recent Novelist collab. Woolford at his bassy, breaksy best.

Sir Spyro continues to dominate in 2026. Turns out, his opening shot of the year, the 2ND SQ EP, was only the beginning. He’s turned in a bunch of belting sets this year, but this Manchester takeover with local legend Lady Ice is a clear highlight. The pair have worked together a bunch of times since Lady Ice broke through on Rap Game UK. Featuring grime and dubstep sluggers from Footsie, Mala, Joker and the man himself, this high-intensity team-up in East London might be their best yet.

There have been some pretty special Zack Fox B2Bs over the years, and a good chunk of them also feature Jyoty. Two of the best multi-genre DJs to ever do it, their chemistry on deck is only getting tighter. This recent one at Skyline Festival in LA was particularly inspired. Punishing slabs of techno, ultra-bouncy club thunder, and a hall-of-famer from Sully, they were really on their A-game with this one.

With the proliferation of DJ sets online, especially filmed ones, variations on the format are getting pretty out there. The latest is the carRADIO series from heds.world. They’ve put quite a few belters this year, including this recent one from Machinedrum who delivers a live mix of dubstep, breaks, and club music from the backseat of a red 1999 BMW 323, while zipping through the streets of Hollywood.

As a producer, Nia Archives has been driving deeper and deeper into emo and indie-inspired songwriting lately. The ravey roots are still there, but the evolution has been fast-moving. It’s a fascinating pivot, but if you were more keen on her jungle bedrock, this latest set for The Lot Radio will scratch that itch decisively. Pure roughneck badness with plenty of grooves, melodies, and hardcore blasts of colour. Fun will always be had in a Nia Achives DJ set.

Karen Nyame KG’s new EP (Epiphany) sees her expand what we known of her as an artist, picking up the mic and exercising some seriously impressive moves in sound design and mood building. You can see a lot of that carrying into her DJ sets. Here, for example, not put off by the rain banging at her window, she dug deep into Ama grooves and jazzy, Afro-centric warmth.

There have been a lot of incredible sets at Kindred lately, but this one from dubplate king Riz La Teef takes it. Stacked, as always, with diamonds, this mix was a dense history lesson. A real journey through the years, chock full of gems you might have forgotten about. Energetic and highly technical throughout, it’s an unmissable 60 minutes of peerless selection and craft. 10/10 jacket too.

See No Evil (K-Stylz & Koast) were on top form this month with the secon edition of their 2026 Promo Mix series for the House Of Unity event series. Launched with a sold-out event last year, the pair are returning to Lakota Gardens in Bristol on August 16 to celebrate Terminal 4’s birthday. Ahead of that, they’ve put together this scorching hour of Amapiano, 3-step and UK tribal stuffed with a few unreleased SNE productions to whet our apppetites.
