TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, Emmavie soundtracked International Women's Day with some bumping R&B, hip-hop, dancehall and more from the women that inspire her; Nigerian singer-songwriter Lady Donli showcased some of her favourite homegrown artists; dubstep queens Sicaria Sound reminded us just how much life there is in the scene with their adventurous and often unexpected selections; Plastician dug into the Plasticman archives for a 2002 mix from grime's formative years; Danish selector Smokey turned the energy up high with this snarling mix of D&B and jungle; Fatima united rap and R&B cuts from both sides of the Atlantic with her bass-heavy selections; and, finally, Manchester's Anz (pictured) fused together everything from disco and acid to jungle and hip-hop for a sweat-inducing hour of power.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
