You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

Firstly, K2Rah and Manchester selectors Left + Right sent us to the dancefloor with some jumpy club thumpers; Lisbon-born, Leeds-based selector Danifox set pace with a percussive, groove-filled look at Lisbon's Afro-diasporic community; Filter Dread spun together an essential crash course on the history of grime, hardcore, D&B, breaks and more; L U C Y served up her own gut-punching jungle selections; and, finally, Finn and India Jordan celebrated their recent "H.U.R.L" / "F.U.R.L" double single with a Christmas-themed hour of classic rave euphoria.
