TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, Hyperdub founder Kode9 gave us a whistelstop lesson on the label's history; 박혜진 Park Hye Jin got our feet moving with her cavernous, atmospheric club cuts; Sir Hiss came through with an hour of bass cuts from the intersection between grime, dubstep and jungle; we got an explosion of dancefloor fireworks from New York selector AceMo; there were futuristic, EBM-leaning synth grooves from Psychemagik; Levon Vincent gave us a history lesson on the immortal, euphoric sounds of rave's golden days; and, finally, Jon1st took a dizzying look back at the hardest, most heart attack-inducing breaks of 2019.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
