SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, Sojuju from Utrecht, Netherlands got the ball rolling with a smooth and upbeat selection of her groove-filled R&B and rap favourites; Cooly G teamed up with MCs Hitman Hyper, Spinner G and Babyface for a live set at Audiophile; Mixpak affiliate and connoisseur of all things dancehall and reggaeton, Florentino lit a fire in our lives with his scorching selections; Canadian duo Garçons delivered a fun-filled mix of dancefloor hits; Strawberries & Creem Festival founder Cardinal Sound gave us an intensive crash course on the history of liquid D&B; and, finally, Om Unit sent us all into a frenzy with his heart-racing run through the best of grime, dubstep, breaks, jungle, UKG and much, much more.
