TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, Eritrean-American selector Eden Hagos put together a mix of dreamy beats and uplifting rap; Japan's Amazondotcom drew on her eclectic and sprawling record bag for an hour including Mr. Oizo, Slikback and several of her own productions; The Heatwave whipped up some last minute energy ahead of Notting Hill Carnival this weekend; Toronto's Ciel took us on a journey through her sprawling collection of house, techno, electro and breaks; Foreign Concept and Think Tonk both went hard with their differing D&B sessions, as did Metalheadz mainstay Grey Code; and, finally, Paris-based DJ and producer Chams took us to the outer reaches of electronic music with a tough yet experimental mix. And an honourable mention to JETSSS, whose Keep Hush session this week steals the crown for most inspired use of a bootleg of the Antiques Roadshow theme.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
