TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

This week, Four Tet kicked things off with an eclectic voyage through his expansive record collection; club killer founder of Intervention and 404 Records, Ifeoluwa took us on a white-knuckle ride through clattering percussion, grimey stabs and thundering rhythms; Iglooghost favourite BABii (pictured) gave us 45 minutes of sugar-rush melodies, off-kilter rap and unhinged club music (interspersed with recordings of her and her sister pretending to host a radio show); NTS regular Grizzle blended rap, grime and space age electronics for his session; Washington, DC's Nvrsoft pushed things into overdrive with her D&B selections; and, finally, Om Unit capped it all off with a mix of drum & bass and jungle, peppered with sci-fi overtones, that reminded us all why he's one of the most highly respected in the game.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
