SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, New York-based party-starter Shyboi (pictured) kept it raucous with a typically energetic mix; house music DJ and producer Jayda G took us on an hour of 4x4 power; the don Slimzee put together a speaker-busting session ahead of his debut at this year's Outlook Festival; Gully B put us in the mood for Notting Hill Carnival with his dancehall-led batch of bangers; Teddy Music mixed together the classic rap and R&B sounds that raised him; Metalheadz duo OneMind raised our heart-rates with a white knuckle mix of D&B energy; and, finally, Anna Wall dug deep into her techno collection to steer us through the weekend.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
