TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, Australian polymath Claddy blended together a session of calming, smouldering soul jams to wash the stresses away; K2RAH celebrated her 50th radio show with two solid hours of rap, R&B, Afrobeats and plenty of summer heat; DJ and production duo Leftlow warmed us up for their forthcoming release on Juan Forte with some deep and murky dubstep picks; "Levelz 2 Dis" producer MPH added to what has already been a massive year with a bumper mix of ultra bouncy garage steppers and 4x4 stompers; Hagan blended garage, funky, gqom, Afro-house and hi-life for his latest set; Bok Bok took a breather from the drill and rap sounds of AP Life for a more dancefloor-focused hour of house music and club workouts; Mistervacation marked Juneteenth with a multi-genre celebration of Blackness that put a heavy emphasis on gqom; PDT showed off the jumpiest end of the grime spectrum (with a dash of drill for good measure); Silencer sent the energy levels sky high with a look at the latest and greatest in the grime world; and, finally, the mighty and inimitable Sir Hiss whipped up a mix of rap, grime, R&B, and plenty of beefy club experiments to have you pining for freedom day.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
