TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, Bklava called on her Lebanese and Armenian heritage, blending it with a few more Western club sounds for a session that was intimate yet highly energetic; Brazilian DJ Vitória Nicolau and Dutch selector FS Green teamed up for 60 minutes of R&Drill bootlegs, space-age Jersey club, Amapiano rollers and plenty more besides; DJ Pitch gave us an hour of Björk remixes from the likes of Dillinja, Photek, Sabres Of Paradise, Death Grips and even threw in a snippet of a Simon Amstell interview; Germany's D Dubz spotlighted the light and breezy end of the UKG spectrum with an almost euphoric selection; rising Nottingham DJ and producer Littlefoot plunged us into the crossroads between garage, grime and bassline; Denman delivered a power-hour of underappreciated garage masterpieces to kick off a new mix series from Boardgame James' 1000 Doors label; As.If Kid put together a stern, moody and dramatic hour of grime instrumentals; Nuvaman seamlessly took us from heavy duty D&B chuggers to feather-light liquid; Stateside D&B duo Quadrant & Iris put together a punishing half hour of D&B jaw-breakers; and, finally, Australian selector Afrodisiac went full tilt with an unforgiving and unrelenting mix of whistles, airhorns and gabber kicks with her latest session.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
