TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, Anz soothed the soul with just over an hour of calming, nourishing R&B smokiness; SelassieTBC (one half of of Brownswood's Future Bubblers team) raised the tempo from his usual radio vibe with a rich, soulful and immersive mix of Amapiano-led club sizzlers; Halalboy of Forever Broke put together the perfect summer rap mix, leaning heavily on all things jazzy and soulful; Leeds selector Hayz put together a quick session of jumpy vocal grime with a heavy emphasis on energy; Lisbon-born, London-based Camberwell Jack skipped between rap, grime and drill for his latest mix; Trends and Boylan came together for a mix of deep, dark and heavy grime with a liberal dose of dubstep for added chug; Grandmixxer spotlighted the latest goings on at SLSA as well as the grime scene in general; Addison Groove took us on a surprising and invigorating journey through just about every strain of club music, from grime and footwork to techno and jungle, with countless detours along the way; the legendary DJ Flight unearthed a heavy duty mix of heart-racing D&B slammers from the archives; and, finally, DJ Manny hit us with two hours of rattling footwork and bumpy Chicago house.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
