TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, Canada's Caro set the tone with some deep, dark and moody dubstep selections; Scratcha DVA raised a glass to South Africa with a Amapiano-led mix of warming club sounds; the Prince of Garage himself, Conducta stepped up with a heart-racing UKG power-hour; G33 joined Oblig for a B2B session of heavy duty UK funky including some refreshing takes on a few old favourites; DJ Polo and NKC put their heads together for two hours of intensive, speaker-rattling funky; Brighton-based Bklava led us into the depths of a sweatbox rave with cavernous bass lines and heart-racing garage percussion with hints of house, techno and even a touch of disco; Nervous Horizon don Wallwork kicked us in the throat with a percussion-heavy hour of dancehall, gqom, funky and beyond; Ifeoluwa took us hurtling through techno, footwork and all manner of club sounds with countless surprises and about-turns to keep us on our toes; Nuvaman kept it rugged with just over half an hour of chugging D&B slammers; and, finally, Tim Reaper delivered a typically masterful session of jungle, from sharp-tongued ragga to hands-in-the-air rave euphoria.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
