TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, 2 B Real boss Finn spotlighted some new and unreleased 4x4 jams from himself and his close creative allies; Detroit house and techno legend, and founder of Women On Wax, DJ Minx served up deep, soulful grooves and bouncy funk loops in a downright masterful hour of house gems; Zambia's SHE Spells Doom took us on a sonic journey from Congolese rhumba through to rap, house and techno; Moveltraxx CEO Big Dope P got the blood pumping with an intensive club mix of everything from drill to Jersey Club, even finding space for a section of the Final Fantasy VIII soundtrack; Parisian DJ and producer spun together a mix of thrilling, sweat-soaked underground club madness; Moroccan selector OJOO GYAL got deep and dark with a blend of dubby, post-apocalyptic, industrial thunder; Om Unit whipped up an expansive mix of dancehall, dubstep, jungle, footwork and plenty more besides; Grandmixxer gave us two straight hours of chugging, grimey goodness, including some newness from Mez; Spooky celebrated his birthday with a marathon three-hour set of high-energy, reload-heavy grime; and, finally, new gen jungle hero Sheba Q showed us how it's done with a punishing hour of breaks and bass.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
