TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, G33 reminded us why she's such an in-demand selector with just over half an hour of funky, garage and bassline thumpers; LCY immersed us in a session of deep, atmospheric and smoky club sounds; Talik took us through an expansive list of the sounds that inspired her upcoming Cold Silver EP (due April 9 via Intercept); Canada's Metafloor put together a slow and low mix that took in everything from R&B slow jams to Backroad Gee; ETCH spun together two dark hours of garage, breaks and jungle; AAJA Radio resident Silk Salvo took us on a hurtling journey through three decades of rave history; Reprezent host Blue Canariñho delivered a sweat-soaked mix of rap, house music, Baile funk, garage and more; Ehua touched on everything from acid squelches and dance pop vocals to dubby grooves and D&B sawtooths for a mix that was as eerie as it was energising; As.If Kid went deep into his jungle collection for a bone-crunching, exhilarating power-hour; and, finally, DJ Argue brought Jamakabi, Bruza, Neeko, Villain and Logan down to the Strong Arm Steady Barbershop in Deptford for a good old-fashioned shelling session.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
