TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, 1000Doors boss Boardgame James celebrated the recent release of his Step Into My Office EP with a mix of grimey, strings-driven club sounds; Portland-based New Yorker DJ ALoSo highlighted his favourites from South African gqom and its UK offspring; Ehua came through with a hour of soulful beats and bass; Ahadadream started with Lady Lykez and Scratchclart and took us through the jumpiest UK funky, gqom and drum-heavy thumpers in his record bag; Black Bandcamp co-founder NIKS put together a warm, jumpy hour of groove-filled house music; Tañ served up two hours of pure, warehouse-crushing, bass-heavy house, jungle, breaks and hardcore; San Francisco-hailing, Berlin-based Yha Yha put together a cocktail of high-intensity, heavy duty house and techno; 6 Figure Gang's Yazzus jumped from grime to jungle to happy hardcore to breakbeat and capped it off with a couple of SOPHIE masterpieces; Japanese dubstep hero GOTH-TRAD celebrated his upcoming DEEP MEDi single "Airplane" with 40 minutes of his own weighty productions; and finally, No Nation showed us a masterclass in the subtleties of jungle, from cosmic atmospherics to sirens and hoovers.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
