TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, OK Williams warmed us through with everything from Busta Rhymes and Janet Jackson to the very farthest reaches of club music; Dublin selector Jio kicked off his All City radio residency with a bass-heavy selection and a tribute to the late, great U-Roy; Berlin-based duo stitched together over an hour of dubstep-centred weightiness; MJK smashed through an hour of extra bubbly garage gold; Sydney-based selector Mincy delved into garage's darker, heavier side and mixed it with house, jungle and more; rave encyclopaedia VSVN found the sweet spot between 2-step and house music for his latest session; producer and radio mainstay Ollie Rant served up a heavy duty cocktail of garage, bassline and beyond; Subtle Radio regular YNEZ stirred together grime, dubstep and some high intensity rave sounds; Lobster Theremin founder Asquith went intergalactic with a mind-expanding cocktail of house, techno, acid and electro; and, finally, Northern Ireland's Kessler sent us loopy with a white-knuckle ride through breakbeat, electro, jungle and anything else that gets the blood pumping.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
