TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, rollage kings Dusk + Blackdown delivered two bass-heavy hours of nothing but their own productions; Liquid Ritual ex-pat LTHL spun together a session of his favourite wave and weightless grime scorchers; Smokey Bubblin' B took us on a journey through the best gems his garage collection has to offer; Back To Basics Leeds resident Frenchy went all out with nearly three solid hours of garage and house excellence; Dash Radio host DJ Sweet Li gave us a rundown of the latest hip-hop she's been bumping; New York's Jubilee delivered some sorely-needed and utterly timeless club warmth; Ballroom legend Byrell The Great had us missing the dancefloor with a relentless, tour-de-force of club energy; Nova Cheq kept it strictly 160BPM with a heavy duty mix of club weaponry that included one or two jams from his recent Avignon EP; Brighton-based DJ, producer and Wisdom Teeth co-founder K-Lone spun together an exhilarating blend of jungle, footwork, techno and more; and, finally, Djinn delved into the darker, moodier end of the D&B spectrum that she's made her home in recent years for an immersive power-hour.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
