TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

Greek selector A'bleiz Meursault delivered an hour of shuddering rhythms, abstract electronics and deep low end grooves for her debut Random Access Radio show; Brighton's Dub Athlete plunged into the darkest depths of her dubstep collection; TalksTooMuch stretched the boundaries of UKG to their limits with a heart-racing new mix; Rinse veteran Tubby blended a two-hour session of wall-shaking soundsystem weaponry; Honey Dijon paid tribute to Chicago house with a mix of non-stop bangers, all indebted to the Windy City; Parisian DJ, composer and journalist Crystallmess kept the energy high with a set that drew from sounds as disparate as indie, R&B and jungle; RE:NI (whom you'll recognise from her NTS show with Laksa) whipped up a percussive round-the-world tour of club experiments; Sheba Q (pictured) took us on a deep space voyage through jungle's jazzy, cosmic side; Clemency served up an hour of warped, dystopian bass and breaks; and, finally, DJ Ripley (Dutty Artz member and co-founder of Surya Dub, HEAVY and SubVersion) stirred jungle together with dancehall, kuduro, footwork and more for her latest session.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
