TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, Portugal-based DJ Fabz turned the temperature up with a blend of hip-hop, soul, funk, kuduro, Afro-house and dancehall; the ever-reliable Truth served up another marked the release of their new EP Subchaser with a deep and dubby selection; Australia's Ciara gave us an hour of invigorating dancefloor fuel with touches of house and techno with flashes of hip-hop and jungle; pioneer of Bristol's Purple sound, Gemmy joined the dots between grime, dubstep and funky; North London-based Kai Barrett kept it strictly 140 with 45 minutes of all killer no filler grime; Oblig stepped up with just under an hour of grimey goodness; California-based selector Bianca Maieli stirred together everything from Brandy and Monica to Bollywood funk; Portuguese DJ Mix'Elle took us on a journey through D&B's soulful and melodic side; Minnesota trio Ternion Sound blurred the lines between drum & bass, breaks and jungle; and, finally, Tim Reaper celebrated his newly-minted Future Retro outlet with a power hour of new and unreleased jungle and hardcore thunder.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
