TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, Bristol's DBL Negative celebrated the release of his new Come Correct EP with adark and atmospheric mix of dubstep classics old and new; Leeds selector Hayz found the sweet spot between grime, funky, garage and everything else in the 140 arena; Hi5Ghost served up a speaker-punishing hour of rap, trap, grime and beyond; As.If Kid gave us a cross-section of the many different bass-oriented sounds he likes to dip into; A.G showed off her unparalleled genius by combining just about every genre imaginable and then bookending it with Janet Jackson; Paris' DJ Lycox educated us on the finer points of the Angola-born sound of kizomba; No Boundaries resident Vanessa Maria and Tryb reminded us why Baile funk is still such a bottomless source of club heat; the undisputed Queen of Jersey Club, UNIIQU3 sent our heart rates into overdrive with an eclectic mix of the most frantic club sounds in her vast record bag; Berlin's Slimgirl Fat fused reggaeton with breaks, pop, R&B and more for a high-intensity session; and, finally, the inimitable Sherelle stepped up for Chase & Status to deliver a force of nature mix of the most intense, teeth-kicking ragga jungle ever committed to wax.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
