TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, Balamii and Rinse regular Jordss celebrated Pride Week with an hour of hands-in-the-air joy; Nammy Wams gave us the lowdown on the best new rap and drill heaters; East London selector Edith Escobar turned the heat up with a soundsystem-ready blend of drill, grime, rap, dancehall, reggae, R&B and more; London rave veteran Dappa aka Dusty Fingaz served up a UKG-focused session centred around Tuff Jam and their various collaborators; the highly prolific Fork + Knife gave us a look at what he's been up to with a mix of his bounciest productions; Saint Ludo assumed her new moniker DJ Only Fans for a hyperactive hour of grime, garage, funky and a few more sounds besides; Hertfordshire-based SI-BL a raw and energetic half hour of pure grime; Field Manuevers resident iona (fka DJ Leisurewear) tore up the rulebook with a mix that included everything from R&B to acid techno; Portland-based Purple Scott got us praying for the clubs to reopen with a sweat-soaked selection of high intensity bangers; and, finally, Kiwi Records alumnus Smokey Bubblin' B went full junglist with 45 minutes of teeth-kicking power.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
