TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, DJ P Montana gave us a rundown of the latest and greatest rap heat he could find; R&B multi-hyphenate Erika de Casier wove together everything from DJ Screw to Maya Angelou for her mix; DJ Swagger kept it smooth with a sultry and seductive hour of funk and soul; Manchester's Subzero served up a lively blend of bassline, UK funky and house music; South East London's Glitch spun together soundsystem weaponry from the worlds of dubstep, drill, grime, jungle and beyond; Wabi Sabi's zns took us on a journey through shuddering low-end and rolling 808s; Nottingham's J Mob whipped up half an hour of frenzied dubstep and D&B; Sirr Tmo gave us a look at some of the 160 gems he's been cooking up in the studio over the past year; Soundclash Champion and all-round legend Kenny Ken put together a punishing hour of high-powered jungle fury in support of the NHS (more info here); and, finally, Electrikal Sound founder Rince gave us a diverse of MC-focused D&B and jungle madness.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
