TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

First up, 237 Mob's Casnova kept it smooth with a seductive blend of smoky house music, rap, funk, R&B and more; Berlin's Sprintf delved into the darker, more energetic end of the UKG spectrum; 1Forty regular Hayz found the bouncy sweet spot between grime and UK funky; Kenzél gave us a cross section of his own productions and remixes, spanning everything from UKG to Baile funk to drill; LEVELZ don Jonny Dub gave us the best grime this country has to offer; British-Nigerian selector Juba served up a sweat-inducing mix of Afrobeats, kuduro, gqom, ampiano and plenty of bass; Melé schooled us on rave history with some solid gold classics; Yazzus put the pedal to the metal with a head-spinning mix that was intense even by her standards; Jun Kamoda showed us what he's been up to with 45 minutes of his most high octane productions; and, finally, Kenyan producer Slikback showed off his darker side with some of his most experimental beats yet.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
