TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

Basic Rhythm calmed us all down with a nourishing hour of funk, soul and smooth hip-hop; Rinse FM's IZCO kept things chilled with a mix of grime and garage tempered with laid-back jazzy moments; Ilian Tape founders the Zenker Brothers delivered a monster 3-hour session of frantic club music; Northern Irish selector Carlton Doom gave us a look at what he bought on Bandcamp day with a blissful hour of breaks-focused bubblers; Tom Shorterz raised the tempo with a powerful hour of UKG and bass music; Bristol pair Fish & Sherry S got deep with their head-bopping dubstep choices; Slimzee partnered with his Rotpot Records co-founder DJ Garna for a mix of grimey low-end rumblers; Boylan gave us a look at what 2020 has in store for Nomine, Mean Streets, Atrikal, Sentry and Slimzos Records; DJ Zinc took us back to 1994 for some solid gold jungle madness; and, finally, LCY turned in an adrenaline-pumping hour of the most percussive, bass-heavy club cuts they could lay their hands on.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
