Victoria Jane Reveals A Vulnerable Side In “The One” Video With John Givez
Manchester singer-songwriter Victoria Jane is gearing up for a big 2025 as she shares the video for her new single, “The One”, featuring U.S singer John Givez.
Co-produced with Rob Stephens, “The One” arrives a little over a year on from Victoria’s last EP, Demos Vol. 2, which was also produced by Stephens. The track plays to her strengths both as an R&B singer and as a fan well-schooled in the finer points of the sound (an expertise that made her Future Soul show on Radio 1 so special).
“The One” details her idea of love and what it means to unquestionably pledge yourself to someone else and the leap of faith you have to take there. The video, directed by Dan Eagle and Myah Skeete, reintroduces Victoria and her smoother, more refined sound; bathed in deep reds, she’s vulnerable within the context of the track, but as an artist, she’s poised and determined.
In her own words, she shares: “I’ve never been in love, but I wanted to write a song on what I imagine it to feel like. ‘The One’ reflects the emotional journey of love—the fear, the trust, and the willingness to be vulnerable. It’s about trusting in each other, even when love seems hard to find.”
