A passionate fan of all things Caribbean, Manchester’s Red Eye HiFi has been tearing up soundsystems around the world for some time now and operating in the music game in one form or another for nearly a decade; first with his own club night, then as a promoter, DJ and now producer.

This time two weeks ago, Red Eye HiFi released his new album, Overproof, a sun-kissed whirlwind of speaker-bursting influences, stirring together dancehall, bashment, grime, rap and more, just in time for the summer. Reflecting his stature in the game, the album packed in a star-studded roll call of Mancuian legends including Cul De Sac rapper and producer Berry Blacc, The UK Rap Game breakout star Lady Ice, LEVELZ mainstays Chunky and Fox, drum & bass mic man DRS, dancehall sheller XL Mad, and Free Wize Men’s Kiva Bey.

Today, we’ve been gifted the quick-witted visuals for project highlight “Weak Bones” featuring a tongue-twisting display from Chunky. As he sprints through his green-thumbed rhymes, we see the LEVELZ mischief maker picking up supplies and weighing up his high grade product — fruit and veg that is, obviously.
