As hard as it is to believe, this year marks 10 years of Durkle Disco. The Bristol-based label still feels as fresh and energising as they did when they first emerged and that’s thanks to releases like Nothingnice and Hayz’s upcoming gem, the Hawkeye EP with Riko Dan and Logan.

To get us all fired up for the EP’s official release tomorrow (February 5), they’ve lifted the lid on this grime-meets-funky rework of the title track from fellow Bristol producer DJ Polo. Finding the perfect meeting point between chugging grime heaviness and the lightweight bounce of UK funky, DJ Polo’s new version is a welcome remedy to the grey-covered monotony of January. The dance might still be locked off for now, but this should go some way to helping you forget about it all.
