EXCLUSIVE: Murder He Wrote Recruits Logan For His First Vocal Garage Cut “Worthwhile”

Low end specialists 1Forty are back with another addition to their impressive series of compilation EPs, 1FFNG004, and today they're unveiling one quarter of the release, Murder He Wrote and Logan’s “Worthwhile”.

Although MHW is typically known for his heart-racing UK funky instrumentals, “Worthwhile” is a bit of a departure. Instead, the producer tests his UKG chops, putting out his first over vocal garage cut aided by the versatile talents of Lord Of The Mics 8 graduate Logan.

The pairing is an inspired one, offsetting Logan’s whipcrack, ragga-tinged vocals against the sparse, mercurial 2-step production leaves us with a track that’s both futuristic yet steeped in references to UKG’s storied history.

Speaking with TRENCH via email, Murder He Wrote told us: “Logan has been responsible for a couple of the most played tunes in my sets this year so it was an honour to link up and collab on this. Really wanted to see how his style would gel with a dark, broken 2-step riddim and am beyond hyped with the results, consistent reloads every time I've run it.”

1FFNG004 officially drops Dec. 16.
