Last month, Miles From Kinshasa teased out “Wearing Smiles” and then “Lookin 4 U”, the first two singles from his upcoming EP Beloved (due at the end of the month). Like the rest of the EP, those songs examined the detrimental effect technology is having on relationships in the 21st century. Now he’s back with the third single, “Motionz”, a team-up with fellow soul boy Murkage Dave that plays up to both artists’ reputation for dry humour. The video, which also features a cameo from Kadiata (who gives the track its smouldering, organ-led production), was directed by Ricky Gibb and sees Miles and Dave awkwardly trying to avoid their exes in a restaurant before inevitably making fools of themselves.
