One of the UK’s most exciting and gifted producers, Joe Hertz returns with “Cross My Mind” featuring the extremely talented Sophie Faith.

Joe Hertz has been on fire recently after completely shutting down this year’s Lovebox and Wireless festivals. Now, after spending time overseas recording in LA, the producer’s making his comeback to deliver this dose of incredible music about love and lust.

“Cross My Mind” is a follow-up from Joe’s recent track, “One Sided” featuring Kaleem Taylor, and sees Sophie deliver angelic and passionate vocals over Hertz’s emotionally-charged sonics.

Sophie commented on her thought process behind her meaningful lyrics, telling TRENCH: “I wrote ‘Cross My Mind’ with Joe Hertz in the summer, whilst being deeply infatuated in a whirlwind romance. I felt like I needed to express or address how that affected me: from the way I look at certain things, to the lengths I’d go for him—all whilst trying to retain control and still enjoy the experience, knowing it was only temporary.”

Joe added: “This beat has that moody but soulful feel I always like. Sophie and I got into developing it, and this theme of the struggles of love in a big city just felt natural. It’s still a head-knocker with some rawness alongside this more sentimental vibe. It was such a pleasure working with Sophie; she brought her energy in an effortless way, and I am very, very excited to share it with the world.”
