EXCLUSIVE: ItsNate Sets Out To Build His Own Empire In “Rome” Video

As North London rapper and SLOCAL collective founder ItsNate prepares for the release of his new project (due in August), he releases the first single and visual from the project in the form of “Rome”.

Although not set in the Italian capital, the video does feature ItsNate in his ends, with appearances from locals, as he raps about the differences between his team and yours and the things he’s on by himself. Switching flows over a hard-hitting, atmospheric instrumental, as ItsNate looks to build his own empire, he warns don’t let me get in my zone, but with the EP on the way, it looks like it may be too late.

Speaking with TRENCH via email, ItsNate explained: “The track was just a bit of a flex, having fun with it. Most of my records have a chill vibe to them, so it’s just a reminder that I can switch it up. Comfortable on everything, in the ends I’m at home. I’m comfy on my ones or with the gang. I got a ting that does both. This is ambidextrous and multifaceted living on this side over here. We shot this video on the go over a couple of weekends; snapshot of a day in the life, real natural. No big planning or storyboards, and I love how it comes across.”
