EXCLUSIVE: Halima Reveals Her Most Vulnerable Side On Soul-Baring “Wildflower”

Last time we heard from singer-songwriter and producer Halima, she was dropping off the disarmingly likeable DIY visuals for her last single, “Break”. She hasn’t really paused for breath since, instead focusing on putting the finishing touches to her new EP, X Y Z.

The new collection drops this Thursday, April 8, but ahead of that she’s sharing her new single, “Wildflower”, a song she describes as “the most intense release of emotion”. Keeping it to the core elements, Halima and her guitar are the stars of the show, which feels entirely appropriate for a song about vulnerability.

Speaking on the EP as a whole, which takes in everything from hip-hop to neo-soul, Halima explains: “This EP is an intimate description of the past two years of my life. I wanted to share this, in its truest, most vulnerable form. To honour the experience and the feeling. Now it belongs to you.”

Take it in below.
