Whether it’s as Basic Rhythm or East Man, Anthoney Hart has been a reliable source of thoughtfully underground productions for a little while now. Just last year, for example, his Red, White & Zero album got a lot of people talking—not least Jesse Bernard—for its refreshing take on grime and the inspired choice of collaborations featured on the project (Saint P, Lyrical Strally, Killa P, Irah, to name but a few).

Now he’s back with the third edition of his Hi Tek Sounds mix series. He launched the series last year with the label of the same name, before releasing the star-studded Red, White & Zero album. Its name, if you didn’t already know, is taken from the name he attributes to his own sound, a take on grime he describes as “[reducing] the sound to its steely fundamentals, bringing in influences from dancehall, drum & bass, and techno.” Take a listen to the third volume of Hi Tek Sounds below and keep your eye on the label’s future movements so you can get your hands on some of the tracks included.
