South London Duo Fika Team Up With German Producer Fabich For Silky-Smooth Jam “All For You”

At the end of next month, South London twosome Fika will release their new EP Love Stories, a collection of soulful, jazz-tinged pop with just a hint of hip-hop swing. To assist them in their endeavour, they linked up with German producer Chris Fabich after a chance conversation with another artist ended with them recording in Fabich’s studio.

After recently releasing “Mean” and “Missing Me”, they’re now back with the EP’s third single, “All For You”. As the title suggests, the silky-smooth new jam is a song about being completely devoted to someone you love. Relationships are rarely perfect, but if you’re devoted to each other, you’d be surprised what you can withstand.

“‘All For You’ is a nice example of why we love collaborating with other artists,” Fika explained. “We started it with a stripped back jazzy hook, then Fabich transformed it into a swung hip-hop beat, totally elevating the track. We learnt a lot from our sessions with Chris (Fabich) about just trusting the process of musical creation and not going in with any preconceived ideas about how the record should sound. What we ended up with was an organic collection of songs that just so happened to be about love.”

Love Stories drops September 25.
