EXCLUSIVE: B:Thorough Issues A “Call To Arms” Ahead Of New EP On Coyote Records

B:Thorough’s had a whirlwind couple of years. In 2020 alone he put out three stellar EPs, including the stomping Calm Levz five-tracker with JT The Goon, which followed a run of highly sought after 12”s on cult grime label Dream Eater and his own Texture imprint.

Next Friday, August 27, he makes his debut on Coyote Records with the Raindrops EP. A little different from his usually grime-focused sound, this time round he’s broadened his scope to incorporate flashes of drill and more out-there electronics across a range of BPMs, from 90-150.

Last week, with the EP’s release fast approaching, the London-based producer teased “Hyperdrive”, a cosmic, grime-tinged voyage through the outer reaches. Today, as proof of the EP’s varied contents, he’s sharing “Call To Arms”, which takes a handful of drill tropes, specifically the bass patterns and some of the percussion, and reshapes them with stuttering sirens and a ghostly club grandeur.
