We are pleased to announce TRENCH as the Editorial Lead for adidas Purpose’s Community Archives zine—a project dedicated to digging deeper and documenting the communities, creators and grassroots movements that continue to shape culture from the ground up.

Since launching in 2020, adidas Purpose has embedded influence where it carries tangible weight. Not simply spotlighting stories, but resourcing them. From backing local sports teams and funding independent community spaces to equipping small businesses with tools to scale sustainably, the work ensures investment remains rooted, circulating within the ecosystems that fuel creativity and collective growth.

“COMMUNITY IS SEEING THE DREAMS THAT ARE UNFOLDING, THE FUTURES BEING BUILT AND THE ENDURING TRUTH THAT ONE LIFE CAN SPARK A MOVEMENT OF CHANGE.”

As Editorial Lead, this partnership felt intentional. The brief wasn’t to decorate impact—it was to document it. This zine is an archive of collective action, powered by sport, built by dreamers and co-created with the communities themselves. Under Ayesha Martin’s guidance, adidas Purpose moves with care and clear vision. This isn’t about a moment—it’s a long-term commitment. When local spaces disappear, culture shrinks. When they’re nurtured, it thrives. And Ayesha is the kind of leader who makes sure it sticks.

In her opening letter, Wanda Cooper Jones—mother of the late Ahmaud Arbery—writes: “Community is seeing the dreams that are unfolding, the futures being built and the enduring truth that one life can spark a movement of change.” That sentiment runs through every page. The TRENCH Community Archives hub features every story from the zine.

If you aren’t able to get a physical copy, you can download it for free HERE.

We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed putting it together with adidas Purpose.
