Walton's "Inside" Is An Intricate Tribute To Pirate Radio
January 24, 2019
Last summer, Tectonic regular (and a bunch of other labels for that matter) Walton released his second full-length album, Black Lotus. Now he's back to pick up where he left off with "Inside", a clattering, intricate monster of a track that's as cerebral as it is club-ready.
As ever, there's a huge of influence of grime to be heard on "Inside", both in terms of the Eski clicks and squarewaves as well as the pirate radio snippets and vocal samples from the likes of Wiley. In between all of that, there's still thankfully plenty of space to appreciate the dizzying array of sounds that go into every Walton production.
