Tricky Collaborator Mina Rose Steps Into The Limelight With "Kingdom"

December 04, 2017

2017 has been a big year for South London singer Mina Rose. Having been featured twice on trip-hop legend Tricky's Ununiform, she then dropped the critically revered "Lemons And Limes" single, and now she's back with visuals for her latest single "Kingdom".

As has already been well-documented, Mina Rose's background is multi-cultural to say the least. The descendent of Gypsy Queen Urania Boswell Lee, Rose grew up listening to everything from house music to reggae to hip-hop before graduating from BRIT School, all of which she's poured into her recent Issue 25 EP.

Taken from that same EP, "Kingdom" is an empowering story of finding your own place in the world, of being comfortable with exactly who you are without worrying about what others think. Take a listen to Rose's hazy, future-facing take on soulful pop music after the jump.
