The Wait Is Over: D Double E's 'Jackuum!' Has Finally Arrived

August 31, 2018

Just in time for the debut TRENCH x ChockABlock on Sept. 6, D Double E has finally released his long-awaited, eagerly-anticipated debut solo album Jackuum!

Though the album's been pending for the best part of the year — teased with a string of big-hitting singles — there were more than a few people getting nervous when the album was postponed from its original summer release date. Still, it's here now.

Wiley, Skepta, AJ Tracey and Littlez make up the only features on the album, but besides that, it's pure DEE from start to finish. There's even a salute to Stormin with an old recording of them joking around, which is poignant enough as it is, but the looped line "I wish I could go back in the day" that follows makes it sting that little bit more.

It's been a long time coming and there's a tonne to get stuck into here. After so many years in the making, you'll be grateful he didn't rush it.
